Welcome to Dresden!

After departing Singapore at 2359 last night, I am finally safely here in Dresden, Germany. It was my first time taking a long haul flight on business class and boy, it really is a world of a difference. The lie-flat beds were amazing! They were so comfortable that I slept right after dinner was cleared all the way till breakfast was served. That’s about 10 hours of sleep!

I could never sleep that much on my previous long haul flights… Just can’t seem to sleep as well sitting up:(

The in-flight entertainment system isn’t as comprehensive as Singapore Airlines, but there were some decent movies like Eat Pray Love and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. The music selection was quite limited though; after listening to some clubsounds, I found myself liking the Lady Gaga album! O_o

Landing in Frankfurt at about 6am (local time), I had to wait about 3 hours for my connecting flight to Dresden. There was quite a bad fog and my flight got delayed!

Finally took off and landed in Dresden about one hour after the initial scheduled time, oops. While waiting for my baggage to come out, Colin of VW Singapore and Geoffrey of Prestige magazine were betting between themselves that my luggage would definitely be pink.

True enough, when this bright pink luggage appeared, I reached out for it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This is what I’m here for!

The snow stopped falling last week!

Oh my..

The Volkswagen Phaeton is a purely customised car and handcrafted with passion and genuinity. See this polished wooden handle? Classy!

This is the LWB version, so I could stretch my legs out.. just like in Business Class on an airplane.

Saw these models having a photoshoot outside the hotel.. Aren’t they cold?! Nice gowns though, totally my colour!

The huge lobby of my hotel – which used to be a palace that housed the hundreds of mistresses that August the Strong kept.

First sight of my room..

Super comfy bed, but it’s lunch time and a full day ahead.. no sleeping yet!

Ouch, my nail broke!! Think the air made my nails too dry:(

My first meal in Dresden – meatballs! (Does it remind you of something?) :p
