Tokyo Auto Salon Singapore

Here I am sitting in my hotel room in Tokyo, just done with the Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 at Makuhari Messe and 11 of its exhibition halls, when the great news is confirmed – Tokyo Auto Salon is coming to  Singapore. No it will not be called Singapore Auto Salon, but simply – Tokyo Auto Salon Singapore.

For those who never had an opportunity to go to Tokyo Auto Salon, probably the world’s largest automotive aftermarket parts and accessories show, you can now have a taste of it right here at home.

Organised by MediaCorp and MUSE Group, the event is managed by Three Angles Production (the same people behind Super Import Nights). Spanning 12,550 square metres of exhibition area at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, a projected attendance of 100,000 trade and public visitors is expected.

In its illustrious 30-year history since the inaugural Tokyo Auto Salon in 1983, this is the first time that it is coming to Singapore. Expect more than 20 of the finest and most unique cars from Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 in Japan, together with Japanese race queens, J-Pop idols and other entertainment stars who will be flown in from Japan.

MediaCorp will be exercising their broadcast muscle and splashing this event out across television, radio, newspapers, magazines, digital and out-of-home media, combined with Muse Group’s marketing expertise and support from the Tokyo Auto Salon Association.

“South East Asia is home to 600 million people and as the economies of the region continue growing, is fast becoming one of the key automobile markets in the world. As the region’s hub, we believe that Tokyo Auto Salon Singapore will be the start of another exciting chapter in the history of Tokyo Auto Salon. With many of the best Japanese custom cars scheduled to make their maiden appearance in Japan, we hope that you will join us in creating automotive history in Singapore,” said a spokesperson from TASA.
