The Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA) started the Singapore Touring Car Challenge (STCC) as a prerequisite for Singaporeans to compete in and achieve two race classifications to attain a racing licence for cars, before being able to go on and race outside of Singapore.
Held at the Johor Circuit at Pasir Gudang, there were only three rounds last year but it has increased to five rounds this year. Registration per round for cars is S$250.
The dates for the STCC 2012 calendar were just released:
Round 1 - 4 March 2012
Round 2 - 6 May 2012
Round 3 - 1 July 2012
Round 4 - 21 October 2012
Round 5 - 16 December 2012
