Ritz-Carlton holds charity car wash for MINDS

SINGAPORE – September, 2011 – To raise funds for the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), a team of beneficiaries from MINDS with intellectual disability and the ladies and gentlemen from The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore team up for a charity car wash from 9am to 4pm on 8 October Saturday at SPC Telok Blangah Petrol Station at 616 Telok Blangah Road .

 

   

Priced at SGD$10 per car and SGD$15 per van or minibus, the volunteers hope to raise at least SGD$5,000 through this effort.

 

   

Mr Keh Eng Song, CEO of MINDS says, “We would like to express our gratitude to The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore for helping to assist financially challenged families in MINDS and also in contributing to the empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disability in  Singapore; that they belong, and that they are able to contribute significantly to our society.”

 

Says Peter Mainguy, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, “It gives us great pleasure to support MINDS which provides welfare for Persons with Intellectual Disability. We hope that the community will help support our efforts and visit the car wash on 8 October. Part of our ongoing Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints Program, this event marks another milestone in our efforts to engage with our community.”
