Results: 10th Canon PhotoMarathon X

The winning photos of the 10th Canon PhotoMarathon have been announced with the Best of Show winners of the Open and Student categories, Koh Zhi Kai and Jerrer Lee, winning a suite of prizes including an eight-day all-expense-paid photo clinic to Hungary. The winners had the best collection of photos from the three segments in which participants are required to create images according to the various themes which were randomly selected from a total of 8 words: Wonder, Harmony and Pleasure.

The competition was conducted in two categories – Open and Students – and top three prizes were awarded for each theme per Category. In addition to that, a Best of Show prize was awarded in each Category.

In the Celebrity Challenge, Vernon A of The Muttons captured the winning photo based on the theme, Pleasure. This segment involved other local celebrities including Justin Ang of The Muttons, Jade Seah, Ross, Dawn Yeo and Nat Ho. Canon donated S$5,000 to Vernon A’s charity of choice, Children’s Cancer Foundation.

The Canon PhotoMarathon X is the Singapore leg of the largest annual photo competition in the region, Canon PhotoMarathon Asia. The event kicked off this morning at 9a.m. with a record-breaking attendance of 2,419 participants in the Singapore leg of the competition at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. This year’s attendance showed an increase of over 15 per cent from last year’s figure.
