VETTEL CLINCHES FIRST F1 TITLE FOLLOWING NAIL BITING GRAND PRIX IN ABU DHABI
Herzogenaurach, Germany (15 November 2010) - The PUMA-supplied Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel made history in Abu Dhabi yesterday by becoming the youngest driver in F1 history to be crowned World Champion. Vettel held his nerve in one of the tightest finishes in F1 history to claim the top spot and get the points he needed to secure the 2010 title.
The Red Bull Racing driver was in imperious form as he fought off the challenges of his PUMA-supplied team mate Mark Webber and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, in addition to Lewis Hamilton of McLaren, who were all in contention before the race in Abu Dhabi. The victorious Vettel has been competing in a custom-designed PUMA Avanti racing suit and the shoe that’s helped him step on the gas so impressively this season – the PUMA SL Tech.
