PETRONAS Syntium customised apples!

Last day of the Super Taikyu finale and it’s not as cold as yesterday, phew! I woke up at 5am (4am Singapore time) again this morning, but I slept at 9.30pm (8.30pm Singapore time) because I wasn’t feeling too well.

Still feeling slightly under the weather today, I was cheered up some by the sight of this car in the car park at McDonald’s. It’s the exact shade of pink I would want my car in!

Apparently this is STOCK colour – wow! So far the shades of pink that I’ve seen for stock car colours are metallic pink or baby pink.

The PETRONAS Syntium Team has already secured the championship title yesterday but they are still aiming for a 1-2 finish in the final race today!

Look what I saw at the PETRONAS Syntium booth just now:

Customised apples for the team! They are OMG cute right?

The apples bear the names of the team manager and six drivers of the PETRONAS Syntium Team, as well as their sponsors.

Japanese drivers Nobuteru Taniguchi, Masataka Yanagida and Tatsuya Kataoka

And here are the Malaysian driver apples…

Fariqe Hairuman

Dominic Ang (not very clear though)

Ooi Fei Hoong

Then of course there’s Gen Suzuki, the team manager of PETRONAS Syntium Team:

What is racing without sponsors?

Here are some of the sponsors and partners on apples!

You know, the Japanese fans are just so passionate about motorsports and they really idolise the drivers. I keep seeing Taniguchi receive gifts from his fans. Yesterday he got some soap bars in the shape of a boob and poo!

Here’s what he got this morning:

Personalised chocolates with photos of his successful overall championship win in Super GT this year!

Isn’t that so nice of them?

Fariqe Hairuman wishes his parents a happy (belated) birthday!
