Pre-orders for one of only 20 vehicles to be available in Singapore at an exclusive preview on 22-23-24 January 2011.

Singapore, 21 January 2011 – Munich Automobiles, the world’s first exclusive BMW M dealer, officially welcomes customers and enthusiasts to attend an invitation-only private preview of the newest member of its intimate product family. For the first time, the coveted M badge has been granted to the popular BMW 1 Series in the form of the all-new BMW 1 Series M Coupe.

Invited guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the first in Asia to pre-order one of only 20 limited production vehicles to be available officially in Singapore at the event. First time BMW customers who book their Ultimate Driving Machine at the event, will be presented with exclusive invites to the official launch event scheduled for later in the year and will be given the unique chance to truly experience the capabilities of the newest addition to the M family in a special test-drive event before taking delivery of their own car.

The BMW 1 Series M Coupe embodies the unmistakable M feeling in a highly concentrated form. The M badge was imparted only after a two-year development process through which BMW M engineers and test drivers achieved the exceptional power delivery and the signature, near-perfect driving behavior of a BMW M car.

The 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be available in limited production and with a range of options only through Munich Automobiles in Singapore. Specifications vary. Well equipped standard units are available for pre-orders at an estimated price of S$220,000 without COE.

Since its launch on 22 July 2010, Munich Automobiles has successfully increased the interest in the BMW M brand in Singapore. Mr. Joel Chang, General Manager, Munich Automobiles said: “Eigenwillig, a German word meaning ‘self-willed, individual, and determined to go its own way’, is the best word to describe the most unique, memorable and iconic M cars of the past three decades. As the world’s first BMW M dealer, we are thrilled to present our customers and fans in Singapore the exclusive opportunity to be the first in Asia to preview and pre-order the latest Ultimate Driving Machine in the BMW 1 Series M Coupe.”

Speaking on the tremendous reaction the world’s first BMW M dealership has received, he said: “We have already witnessed an overwhelming response since we opened our doors only six months ago. In 2011 we expect to truly present our customers with an experience unlike any other, starting with the latest race-bred BMW coupe which is sure to bring joy to an entirely new segment of BMW enthusiasts. Joy, to us is sharing the heritage and prestige of M and the ultimate driving experience that has always been synonymous with BMW and with our customers at all times.”

With the original 1988 BMW M3 as its inspiration, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe combines the raw capabilities of a race car with the agility, versatility, and driving position of a compact BMW Coupe to create a pure Ultimate Driving Machine. In doing so, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe continues the “eigenwillig” tradition of BMW M.

With its latest two-door model, BMW M is illustrating its ability to build race car performance into a small car, capable of everyday use; further extending the company’s model range and paving the way for younger customers to be able to access the fabled driving experience offered by an M car. Reputed for being the top-line high-performance range of BMW’s offering, the M is regarded as the sports car with the most F1 technology on the road. The BMW M series’ appeal lies firmly in its enhanced performance engineering, as the famed ‘M’ button transforms an everyday drive into a high-speed experience with superior handling.

Munich Automobiles offers customers and enthusiasts the complete BMW M experience and offering the entire family of current generation M cars on display and a special BMW M Service Centre. Last December, Munich Automobiles opened a separate state-of-the-art Service Centre catering to the full range of BMW cars and accessories. Munich Automobile’s BMW Service Centre provides service and maintenance, spray painting, body repair, car care, and all related motor vehicle needs of your BMW. The facilities include eight service work bays, one spray booth, two paint prep booth and four panel repair bays including latest body repair jig. Prevailing warranties on BMW cars bought from authorised BMW dealers in Singapore will be honoured.
