Efficient, intelligent, emotionally appealing: the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class made waves on Tuesday at the launch of one of the most attentive cars in the world, held at the iconic new Marina Bay Cruise Centre. Featuring new efficient engines, new assistance systems and a new design idiom, Mercedes-Benz has comprehensively modernised the E-Class, extending its leading position in the luxury segment even further.

“The E-Class has enjoyed a long and storied history. We are extremely proud to present the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class at its very best. The new design of the E-Class encapsulates efficiency, intelligence and emotional appeal in a visually superior manner like never before, said Mr Wolfgang Huppenbauer, President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Singapore. “With the latest E-Class, we celebrate the world premiere of eleven new or optimised assistance systems that combine a host of safety and comfort features, known as the Mercedes-Benz ‘intelligent drive’”.

Mercedes-Benz is continually enhancing the performance capabilities of its assistance systems with the aim of ensuring comprehensive protection, not just for the occupants of a Mercedes-Benz, but for all other road users too. With these intelligently coordinated systems, Mercedes-Benz has set a further milestone on the way to autonomous driving.

More than 500 Mercedes-Benz fans and friends of the media gathered to celebrate another milestone in the ongoing E-Class success story with a soiree befitting the E-Class at its very best. In a spectacular debut, the E-Class Saloon and Estate models were unveiled to much awe on a stage specially designed for the event.

On display were the ELEGANCE and AVANTGARDE design and equipment lines which highlight the individual style of the E-Class Saloon and Estate models. While unmistakenly clear at first glance that the E-Class is distinctively Mercedes-Benz, guests took time to explore the reinterpreted classical design values of the brand which has resulted in a sharpened design with a refined, sporty look, as well as significantly enhanced comfort and high-quality appointments.

The waterfront location of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, with the breath-taking Singapore skyline as its backdrop, and the soothing sounds of a string quartet, set the perfect atmosphere for this lavish affair as guests were treated to the best and no less. An exquisite selection of delectable treats was paired with fine wines as guests luxuriated in the company of these elegant beauties.

The evening clearly leaves no doubt that this is the start of an exciting new chapter with the E-Class at its pinnacle.
