James_Pull_Tackles_All_Stars_Karting_Series_Next_442x640_311x450Singapore, 18 March 2011 – Fresh from winning the opening round of the 2011 Rotax Asia Zone Challenge and Rotax Malaysia Challenge championships, James Pull heads to the first round of the All Stars Karting (ASK) 2011 championship next. Held at the Speedway PLUS Circuit in Malaysia again, 11-year-old Pull is looking to repeat the same success with Dash Racing this weekend.

The ASK 2011 is an all-new kart racing series organised by Langkawi Motorsports Club. Participating in the Cadet category with a Yamaha engine, the Birel chassis is required for all competitors of the series. Held across four rounds at different tracks in Malaysia, Pull is familiar with the race format of a qualifying session before two races – the second race with a reverse grid start.

“Last weekend was a fantastic debut for Dash Racing and we had a great start to the 2011 season. Going on to my next race the following weekend, I hope to achieve the same success,” said Pull.

Driving for Dash Racing in Asia, Pull will also be driving for 2005 CIK-FIA Karting World Champion Oliver Oakes’ team when he travels to Italy and the United Kingdom to participate in a number of events later this year. His first European appearance of the year will be at Round 1 of the Italian CSAI Karting Championship in Naples, Italy on 2 to 3 April.

2010 was Pull’s first time competing in the full season of the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia and the Asian Karting Open Championship. Eventually finishing second overall in both series, Pull gained tremendous racing experience and he even led both Championships at certain points of the season. He also headed to Italy at the end of the summer as part of his development programme and participated at a WSK Master Series race.
