Singapore’s first and only Mercedes-Benz enthusiast club SGMerc was established in 2005 by Kelvin Tan, along with three others – Yap, Leon, Randy. With over 5,000 members, a handful of them turned up at Kallang McDonald’s last month for a gathering. SGMerc is a private club and is not associated with the Mercedes-Benz group, Daimler AG, Cycle & Carriage, and their subsidiaries.

560426_10150829647132015_1660469403_nHousing members of varying nationalities – from countries such as UK, USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong – the SGMerc community actively keeps in touch via monthly meetups, donation drives, drive-ups to Malaysia and even engaging in charity work.

SGMerc also has support from various organisations and workshops in Singapore such as DBS Bank Ltd – DriveShield, Star Black, First Auto, MBM Wheelpower, Propel Auto, Robson Design and more.

Recently revamping its logo and website, SGMerc is hoping to expand its membership and attract more like-minded enthusiasts! If you’re keen to find out more from the members, you can go into their forum on their website and check out when’s their next meet-up.
