HANS aka Head And Neck Support device is a safety device for most motor-sport racing drivers. It helps to reduce or prevent  the injury to the racing car drivers head or neck  from sudden stops, especially during accidents an motor racing accidents.

Due to high deceleration G forces that can cause violent head movement when the drivers body remains stationary due to the seat belts, but the movement to the head is still moving forward or sideways, the movement causes scull fracture resulting in serious head injury or death.

With over two years of development and 10 years of expertise in HANS® design and engineering, Stand 21 now offers the world’s most evolved version to date: the HANS® Ultimate.

The 20°M and 30°M models are now posted on the FIA’s technical listing # 29, and their brothers in larger sizes will soon follow!

Weighing 460 grams (20°M) and 440 gr (30°M), over 100 grams lighter than the current lightest models, the all-carbon construction of these new models combines resin transfer molding (RTM) and hollow-section technology.

This technology helped achieve legs so thin (4mm thick VS 14mm of current models) that the harness fitment is greatly improved.
Its top section has also been redesigned and re-engineered in its very concept to offer reduced thickness and better integration with the seat or headrest.

With its minimum footprint and exceptional ergonomics, this new model proves once again that Stand 21 demonstrates its expertise on both technical and commercial levels, with the world’s widest selection.

Already ordered by the greatest teams in motorsport (F1, DTM …), these new-generation HANS® devices will likely and quickly be victims of their own commercial success and it is more than advisable to order yours now!
