Formula Drift M’sia 2010: Top 16 Results

Written by Cheryl Tay on . Posted in Cheryl Tay Blog | Blog Post of Cheryl Tay

My day started even earlier today, as i followed the Driftpac team to the track at 7.45am!

Practice started at 9am, where the top 32 had some individual runs as well as some tandem runs. Crashes happened right from the start, causing drivers like Nazrul Afifi to damage his car and having to forfeit his top 32 tandem battle against Pop.

The Top 32 tandem battles started at about 12.30pm and there were some upsets. Only two Malaysians made it through to the Top 16 out of the 13 who qualified in Top 32. These two Malaysians (Ee Yoong Cherng and Ser Ming Hui) were in an all-Malaysian battle though.

Tan Tat Wei spun during his second run when he was the chase car, giving the win to 19-year-old Amandio of Indonesia. Ivan Lau lost to Oat of Thailand after having to go One More Time.

Lim Zee King failed to make it to the start line against Joe of Thailand as his car suffered too much damage during qualifying yesterday. Fazreen lost to Charles Ng of Hong Kong, Michael Gan lost to Rhenadi Arinton of Indonesia.

Zaiham Hamdan crashed while running against Hashiguti Anderson Toyoshi of Brazil and was given five minutes to repair the car. Nazrul crashed his car during practice remember?

So here are your top 16…
