For The Record… It’s not me!

My dad received a call from his friend on Tuesday, lightly teasing him about the Mercedes-Benz CLK that he supposedly bought for me.

Having read The New Paper that day, my dad instantly knew what his friend was referring to and laughed it off. He replied, “That’s not my daughter la, i will never buy her such an expensive car.”

This is the article in reference:

The New Paper, 14 December 2010

Well, I do have an association with The New Paper because of my Va Va Vroom motorsports column and i do have photos of myself at the wheel of cars, plus the age is just about right (though i’m a year older).. so it’s not surprising that people thought this Cheryl Tay was me!

I interviewed her last year for a race queen article in The New Paper, because she was the first runner-up for the 2008 inaugural SingTel Grid Girls contest.

Anyway, nope i’m not in Finance and Banking, nope i do not work in F&B. I was told about a thread in MyCarForum [see here] which was about this article and some guessing that it’s me, so i thought i’d just confirm that it’s not me!

I drive a Lancer CS3, not a CLK… don’t think i can afford to maintain a CLK now:(
