Just two weeks before Formula Drift Singapore, local trading company Lam Seng Hang sponsored a drift clinic under their Team Westlake branding. The one-day event on 17 June saw the local drifting community gather at Changi Exhibition Centre to get their much-needed dosage of smokin’ sideways action.

Flying in Formula Drift stars Ken Gushi of USA and Saranon Pornpatanarak of Thailand, both drivers served as instructors for the clinic.

Open to public, motorsport enthusiasts drove all the way to the far east with their modified rides to hang out. Some of the local drivers competing at Formula Drift Singapore also took this chance to practise and get their car set-ups right before the actual event, which will be held at the same place.

All four drivers of Team Westlake Tyres – Singaporeans Winston Ang and Geoveen Hi, as well as Malaysians Lim Kim Wan and Rocker Loh – were all down for this clinic as they took their signature bright green and pink drift rides out.

Such private drift clinics are the only way that drivers can get practice legally. It is costly to organise such drift clinics, hence it is always highly appreciated when companies such as Lam Seng Hang step forth to help grow the motorsport community.

Thank you Lam Seng Hang and Team Westlake Tyres!
