Cake Over Wheels, by Cake Over Heels

While I’m still on the topic of cakes and cars, I recalled something:

Last November, Volkswagen Singapore celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Golf GTI with a public affair at Old Kallang Airport and one of the key features for the occasion was this 400kg customised Golf GTI E35 cake that cost S$26,000. It took the team at Cake Over Heels four full days to construct this chocolate fudge cake with chocolate ganache filling.

It must have been such a tedious project and well done to the team at Cake Over Heels man! Here are some photos:

S$26,000 for a Golf GTI E35… cake!

I missed the Volkswagen Golf GTI E35 birthday party as I was in Tokyo that weekend for Super Taikyu, so I can’t tell you how the cake tastes, but it has to be good for all that effort!

I did however, review the car itself – read here for my review of the Volkswagen Golf GTI E35. How can anyone not like this car?
