I do travel quite often but it’s usually for work – last weekend however, I took a trip out to Phuket with seven other girlfriends for the sole purpose of hanging out and having fun.

Tips for tight abdominals

Although the GLOW BFF Challenge is over, I am still in touch with the girlfriends I met there. We communicate daily via our Whatsapp group chat and I still meet Daphne at the gym as well as Ju-Ann for body combat/pump classes at True Fitness. It’s really nice to have friends who have similar goals as you in terms of fitness and diet, as it helps to keep you on track.

We have even planned a girlfriend weekend getaway in mid-May! Determined to strut around in bikinis fit or fat, some of us started reading up on how to get our bodies bikini-ready in two months. I found a lot of good content online but this particular link that Daphne shared some Tips for tight abdominals was most useful as I could relate to it:

Weight Loss Diary: The beginning of the end with GLOW

As quickly as it started, the GLOW BFF Challenge has ended. I’ve learnt a lot about diet and nutrition in the past month, and also had possibly the most active month I’ve had in years. I was engaging in several types of physical activity, such as PT sessions, yoga, kickboxing, zumba fitness and jogging.

The best thing about it?

Having girlfriends to do it with you!

It really made the workouts a lot more fun and it also served as a motivation to get moving. The group was pretty big when we started, but as we went along, some fell off the radar due to other commitments. The common few faces however, gelled strong and the friendships made out of sheer perspiration are very valuable.

Weight Loss Diary: The Wrong Concepts

I’ve been leading a healthy lifestyle by:

a) Eating clean
b) Exercising at least 3 times a week
c) Sleeping at least 7 hours a night
d) Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day

Weight loss is a long-term process and I am not hoping for a miracle, but I will keep on eating and working out right.
